Prayer Is A Weapon
Ephesians 6:18
Dr. Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

Anytime we go into a battle, we use/take weapons with us. We want to win the battle, defeat the attacker. So, What weapon do you use when you are in a spiritual fight (battle)? You need to use the most effective weapon which is prayer!

Prayer is talking to God the Father. Tell God about your battle and leave it there. Don’t try to win on your own, but let God handle it!

In your spiritual battle, you need to
1. Be Prepared – You need to have the right relationship with God. You must know God before the fight, so when you call, His “Caller ID” let him know who you are.

2. Be Positioned – You can’t win by yourself. You need God on your side because He knows what you need.

3. Have the right Partner – God place others in your life for a reason. Make sure you stay in contact with the right people. You need someone who can get a prayer through!

Remember PRAYER is the best Weapon to use in any Warfare!

The Power Of Prayer
Luke 18:1

Dr. Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

Prayer is powerful because it is our communications with God. Don’t let nothing stop you from praying! Let God lead and direct you. Stay long enough for God to talk back to you. Don’t try to limit him. It’s not about your “wish list” but about “His will” list.

Prayer is powerful because
1. Prayer should be a “priority” in your life.
2. Prayer should be “part” of your worship to God.
3. There should be a “prerequisite” to prayer. Let it lead you in and lead you out. It should be a before and after thought!
4. There should be a “proclamation”. When you pray it has to be a prayer you believe in.

When your life line up with the Will of God, the Word of God,  and the Way of God, you will sit in a seat of expectations.

Don’t give up before your break through!

The Blessing in the Waiting Room
Hebrews 6:11-15

Dr. Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

If you are waiting on God you are in good company. When you’re going through you have to endure and have patience to wait on God.

During your waiting room experience you learn patience and it strengthen/grows your faith. You are in a position for God to reveal the blessing He has for you. If God has promised you anything just wait/endure, don’t give up, lose patience or be discouraged. The promise will be revealed to you.

While in the waiting room:
1. Learn to keep on praying. (Matthew 7:7)
2. Learn to keep on serving. Romans 12:11
3. Learn to keep on fellowshipping. Hebrews 10:25
4. Learn to keep on sowing. Ecclesiastes 11:6
5. Learn to keep on believing. II Timothy 3:14

Remember, what God has promised He will bring to pass. God rewards faithfulness. Trust God! If you see that God is blessings others, have confidence and assurance, yours is on the way!

“The First Step to A Miracle”
Mark 6:34-38
Dr. Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

A Miracle is any unsolvable problem that only God can handle! Put it in His hands!

If you want a miracle:
1. Admit you have an unsolvable problem.
Three responses most people give to an unsolvable problem:
* Procrastination (put it off, look the other way). This only makes the problem worse! If you need God then talk to God.
* Past the buck and blame other people (We need to take ownership).
* Worry, fret (Put your trust in God).

2. Know who is next to you when you have unsolvable problems. Don’t give up on God because He has not given up on you. Stop stressing out but stretch your faith!

3. Wait to see how God turn your “whatever” into a Miracle!

Late Post from January 14, 2016 – Pastor Dr. Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

Spiritual Lessons to Keep You in the Race
I Corinthians 9:24-29

We are in a race. Keep Focus so you will not be sidelined and throw in the towel.
You need to finish the race and receive your prize!

1. You must intend to win!
Don’t get in if you don’t want to win! You need a made up mind because everything will try to make you give up. God needs no coward soldiers. Don’t just be in just to be in!

2. You must discipline yourself!
There are no short cuts. Train! Accept, Believe and walk the walk.

3. You must stay focused on the reward!
You need to realize there is a purpose and there will be a payoff.

Live to live again with the Father! Have a little Heaven on earth by submitting to God through obeying and serving.

Remember some detours are Divine detours to get you to where He wants you to be!
Be blessed!

It’s In Your Talk
Matthew 9:20-21
Mark 5:25
Pastor Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

There is power in the Word and in talking to yourself.

1. The woman was “Diseased“. She had an illness for years.
In today’s society we are “dis-eased”: mentally, emotionally, and physically.

2. The woman was “Desperate“. She had spent all she had and had not gotten any better.
Sometimes we do all we can and things are still the same.

3. She endured “Distraction“.
People know all your good and your bad. They try to kill your dreams, and they speak negatively to distract you. You must remember that it’s not about what people say or do to you, but how you respond. What are you saying to yourself? We have the power to speak life, healing, and prosperity. It’s not about what you say to others, but what you say to yourself!

4. She had “Deliverance“. Her faith moved her to action, a touch, which led to her deliverance!
Your faith needs to move you to your next level. Having faith is action! We have the power to speak the Overflow and life in abundance.

If you want to please God, exercise your Faith!

Psalm 51:1-13

Pastor Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

We should focus on what we owe God. We can run, hide but we can only do that for man because God knows what we have done. We have let God down and we know we have sinned against Him. The only way we can be cleansed is through God because He is the only one that can do it.

We cannot tell others to get it right until we get it right! It is not only about hearing about God but we need to know about God.

1. David had a Prayer Petition
2. David had a Plea Petition
3. David asked God to Purify him
4. David gave God ultimate Praise!

Every time we pray we need to ask God to have mercy on us. God has given us grace and mercy, and we should give Him praise. Don’t let anyone look down on your praise. Praise Him wherever you are. We need to bless God because He’s been just that good!

The Greatest Gift
John 1:12
Pastor Jonathan Phillips

During this season of Christmas let us remember it is not about the toys and exchanging of gifts, but it is the celebration of the Birth of Jesus Christ!

There is only one message we should know during this time, and that is God wants to share eternity with us.

The Birth of Christ is about our eternity! The only reason Jesus was born so we can spend eternity with Him. He has long range plans for us. Because of our relationship with Him we can spend eternity with Him!

In order for us to receive the greatest gift we must Believe in Jesus Christ and Accept Him as our personal Saviour.

Remember: the difference between a “present” and a “gift is a “present” is given to someone where a “gift” has to given and received!

When you believe Him and Accept Him we have the right to be a part of Him !

BELIEVE the gift
RECEIVE the gift
SPEND Eternity with the Greatest Gift, Jesus the Christ!

Don’t Worry Be Happy
Philippians 4:4-7
Pastor Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

Remember to be joyful in the good times and during the rough times!

Four things we need to do in being happy and not worrying:

1. Don’t worry about anything!
Worrying will not change anything. It is like a rocking chair; keeping you busy but then you’re not going anywhere.

2. Pray about everything!
Trust God. Worrying is a learned behavior; so that means it can be unlearned. Worrying about yesterday(things in the past) and tomorrow (things that have not happened yet) will not give you time for today.

3. Thank God in all things!
Pray with thanksgivings. Learn to be grateful for what and where you are. Things could be worse! The healthiest emotion is gratitude. Being happy will help reduce stress in your life. Misery only lingers in unhappiness.

4. Think about the right things!
To reduce your stress, you need to change your thinking! Think on the positive. Move from worrying to being happy.

If you love and trust God, then Believe God.

When doors are closing windows are opening!

Four Steps to Fighting Spiritual Warfare
Ephesians 6:12
Pastor Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

The attack of the enemy is spiritual.

No matter how spiritual you are, you never outgrow spiritual warfare; it only
gets more intense!

1. You must Acknowledge the Adversary
– 1 Peter 5:8-9
– Satan is real
2. You must Accept God giving Authority
– Matthew 28:18-19
– God has given the believer power to overcome.
3. You must put on God’s Armour
– Prepare yourself and dress for battle:
– Helmet – God’s thoughts
– Belt of Truth
4. You must Aim the Artillery
– Aim your weapon at the enemy
– Weapons God has given us: Humility, Faith, Truth and Praise

Be prepared to fight on every hand!
