Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.   Isaiah 43:18-19

God wants us to quit looking behind and start looking ahead.  So many times we dwell on what has been done in our lives which can sometimes be a useless exercise.  If you are continually looking behind, you can’t see where you’re going. On the other hand, the more important thing to do is to ask, “What is God doing in your life right now?”  We can’t allow our past failures to possess us, so forget the former things and see that God is doing a new thing.  I dare you to just forget the drama.  I dare you to drop the baggage.  I dare you to lose the weights.  I dare you to let go of those meaningless traditions.  I dare you to break free from those chains.  I dare you to mend broken relationships.  As you look forward know that you can have hope through the power of God because He’s saying I’m giving you another chance.

When you look at your life do you see problems or possibilities?  God can do anything that needs to be done in your life!  He can make a way in your wilderness.  He can even make rivers in your desert.  See yourself as God sees you and get ready for the new thing He has in store.  God has already set into motion a new direction and a new purpose for your life — will you follow Him?

Have a wonderful and prosperous New Year!
