Thursday’s Ministry Moment

Why Do Good People Suffer?
Romans 8:35-39
Dr. Jonathan T. Phillips, Jr.

Suffering has a permanent effect that can be negative or positive.

Many of us have been hurt and had much pain. But we have a God who has compassion for everyone.

Suffering has attacked all believers. Life can present hard times to all. But through our suffering we learn how to depend on God.

There is more suffering in our world than we realize.
Suffering can be:
1. Physical
2. Emotional
3. Mental
4. Spiritual

The devil has sought to deceive us, but whatever the situation, in all things, we are more than conquerors.

Some believe that all suffering is of God and of sin. Scripture tells us this is not always the case. Sometimes God wants us to go through so we can give Him glory from what we are going through and we can help others.

In our spiritual suffering, in all things, good, bad, frustration, we are more than conquerors! Suffering and pain should draw us closer to God. Remember God is always working behind the scene.

We should seek victory and remember the solution is in the cross.  Jesus suffered on the cross and brought salvation to all!

No suffering, past, present or future, should separate you from God’s love.

Let nothing separate you from the love of God!
